I was introduced to AmberTech Technologies over a two years ago. We are always looking for ways to better our programs on the farm maintenance to management.  We have to change and become more efficient to make it in agriculture.  AmberTech has done this but we were a little skeptical at first. My name is Jeff Bearden and I’m the Pump and Field Supervisor for CUDD Energy, and I’m based in Lafayette, LA. I was first introduced  to the AmberTech products in October 2010. I was amazed at the demonstration, but being skeptic, I had my crew test the AmberTech grease because our field relies heavily on lubricating our pumps in the harshest environments of heat and cold. We began testing the AmberTech Grease and witnessed results in greasing interval reductions so drastically that we performed a 500 hour test on the red grease we had been using and the AmberTech Grease. These were our results from our 500 hour test comparing the two greases. The red grease was melting and needed repacking in the 106 degree ambient temperatures in south Texas. We have been using AmberTech M99 on our SST-120 race engine and boat. The wrist pin bearings look brand new and have no signs of wear at all. This motor has at least 10 hours of race time turning over 9000 RPMs. Our motors usually turned around 9000 RPM’s before we started the AmberTech M99 treatment. Since we have been using AmberTech M99 we have seen 9200 RPM’s consistently, and at some parts of the race turning over 9300 RPM’s. We have been adding the AmberTech M99 to mercury racing oil, as well as red line out.

VSP has been in the business of developing and selling gasoline fuel system cleaning equipment and products for 14 years.  Cleaning deposit from an engine should result in improved efficiency, which should show up in improvements in mileage on the engine.

As a result, we have become very systematic in testing for mileage.  We try to complete a long highway run of 90 miles or more where we can use cruise control so there is no variance in operation.  We fill up and calculate the number of gallons used to complete the drive and the mileage.  We note things like barometric pressure, wind and direction and humidity.  We complete the service and then drive the same 90 miles back to the start and fill up to calculate gallons and mileage.

After receiving samples of M99 from AmberTech I completed a test on our company van on February 14, 2014.  I drove from Peru, IL west to Elderidge, IA on Interstate 80.  It was a cold and clear day with low humidity.  The weather did not change during the day and there were no measurable winds (any wind was north south).

On my drive to Elderidge (96 miles), I maintained a driving speed of 73 mph.  The mileage calculated was 18.34 mpg.  We installed 4 oz. of M99 into the 4.5-quart system.  On my drive back to Peru (96 miles) I maintained a driving speed of 73 mpg.  The mileage calculated on the return trip was 22.17 mpg.  That would correspond to an improvement of 20.88% improvement in mileage.

The number is so large that it is nearly impossible to believe.  Even if we factor for issues like differing calibrations on the fuel pump of the two different gas stations or the differing winds when going east and west we cannot discount that there is a significant improvement in the efficiency of the engine with the use of M99.

From our calculations using AmberTech data for treat rates, we believe that we should have reduced the coefficient of friction on the engine by over 50%.  The impact on engine efficiency is significant.

We are proceeding with tests on 3 additional vehicles to confirm our results.

I’m just simply amazed at what AmberTech grease and concentrate can do in any environment. I’ve been the shop foreman at R.A. Dudley’s Nurseries INC. for the past 8 years and been in the mechanic field working for the past 27 years. Until now, I have seen all sorts of greases, oils, and additives claiming the next best thing. AmberTech products have revamped my thinking and have challenged the way I work through problems. I have found AmberTech to be my solution to every problem involving friction reduction.

I have tested AmberTech all over. I have seen AmberTech reduce greasing intervals by 60 percent (5 days a week to 2 days; and ½ tube every day to twice a week) on pivot pins for a bucket on a dozer. I have brought back to life a spreader (roughly $30 thousand new) that was parked for 15 years. This spreader would not move. The PTO shaft was seized. After 7 oz of AmberTech grease, we were able and free the PTO shaft. The spreader is now working again. I actually heard the AmberTech grease working…from a loud grinding noise to a low tune smooth rotating sound. Unbelievable!!!

I have put AmberTech concentrate on roughly 100 hand shears. Normally, it takes me 100 minutes to clean and sharpen shears every day. Now it takes me 100 minutes once a week to clean and sharpening shears, saving me 6 hours a week to work other tasks. I have used AmberTech in chain saws, weed eaters, mowers and 5th wheels. I also used AmberTech on puller threads and tips. What took me an hour with 2 men, now takes me 5 minutes with ease.

If I know Rob Hopkins is coming to see what I’m doing with AmberTech, I always make time to show him what I have done to make my job and life easier. What I know now about AmberTech is astronomical and the applications are endless. If I open my eyes and think, I can find a use for AmberTech every day.

Thank you for sharing your great AmberTech products with us at our manufacturing facility. We are now using AmberTech in our molding machines and seeing great results. It is not often that a product comes along that actually does everything that the “seller” says it will do, especially in a 24×7 industrial application like ours. I was introduced to the AmberTech products last August. Since the beginning of September we have applied both AmberTech grease and M99 to several of the components of our paper and paperboard converting equipment at our facility. So far we have noticed the following:

1)   The gearbox on the sheeter: We have applied approx.. 1 oz. per qt. of the AmberTech M99 to the gearbox. Normally, when running the sheeter for 4 to 6 hours, the gearbox temperature gets up to 110 to 120 degrees. After applying the AmberTech, we have noticed the reduction of the gearbox temperature by 20 degrees. We will now use AmberTech on two of the other gearboxes that are on the rotary die cutter and the sheet fed die cutter.

2)   The back stand brake housing of the sheeter: We have applied a full strength of AmberTech M99 on the brake housing where the grease and dirt was built up. After cleaning up the old grease, we have applied 1 oz. per qt. of the AmberTech M99 and over the last two months we have noticed a great control of the brake pads. We have also noticed that the brake housing have a smooth finish and we have a better brake control when applying tension to the brakes.

3)   Grease Fittings: First we had applied the AmberTech grease to several of the gear housing where we had some noise and heat build up. After using the AmberTech grease we have seen reduction in temperature and less noise on three of the gear housings. Now we have been applying the AmberTech grease to over 70 of the grease housings at our facility.

4)   Rider Roll Guides: In the past we have applied different lubricants on the rider roll guides. Mr. Rob Hopkins has applied AmberTech M99 on a steel wool and cleaned up the old residues. He then applied M99 using a wiping cloth. We have seen that it is easier to turn the rider rolls up and down and there is no build up on the guides.

5)   Rewinder Back Stand: We have applied AmberTech M99 to the back stand guides and also applied 1 oz. per qt. of the AmberTech M99 to the hydraulic tank. We have noticed less noise when moving the back stand left and right and up and down. Also, we noticed there is a smoother finish on the pistons. Over all we are very pleased with both of the AmberTech Products.

I have 38 years of mining experience in maintenance. The demonstration of AmberTech that I attended was very impressive. I decided to check it out thoroughly and decided to become involved with this amazing lubricant technology. From researching this product, I realized that we could drop emissions in diesel equipment and save bearing changes. I found a mine willing to test AmberTech products. The Concentrate was put in a utilities vehicle with a Mercedes engine. The average CO was in the low 200 parts per million. The CO dropped to the low 140’s in just one week after the AmberTech M99 was added. The second week the CO rose to 170. However, the next 4 weeks the CO stayed in the low 140’s. The oil was then changed at this point. The CO stayed in the 150 range. The CO count had risen to the 200 parts per million within the next 3 weeks. This shows AmberTech works to lower emissions significantly. AmberTech grease was put in the #1 belt snub roller pillow block bearings. These bearings were being changed every 4-6 months, and needed to be greased every shift. AmberTech grease was put in 1 new bearing and 1 old bearing. These bearings lasted for an entire year, and only required greasing every third day. The roller was changed out for a large roller, and this concluded the test.

I just want to tell you how amazed I am with AmberTech. We tried AmberTech grease in the bucket pins of a 988H CAT loader. This is an application where greasing with normal grease is required every 10-12 hours of operation. The pins will start squealing if you don’t grease them in that time frame. On the day we started our test, the ambient temperature was about 52 degrees Fahrenheit at 10 a.m. We used a heat gun to calculate a temperature of 88 degrees Fahrenheit on the pivot point pin area. We greased the pins on the bucket until they were purged of the old grease. The pins were doing great so we didn’t grease them at the end of the shift. The next morning the ambient temperature was 56 degrees at 10 a.m. The pivot point was only 42 degrees. Obviously there was less friction, therefore, creating less heat. With such positive results we decided not to grease the pins, but to check them again later on. Ultimately we ran the machine 6 shifts, using the machine in situations where water was covering the pins, before we decided to grease again. At this point, the pins were still not squealing. The next incredible part of this is the amount of grease used. With normal grease, the service man usually puts 7-10 pumps of grease in the pins, before it starts coming out. With AmberTech, even after running the machine for 6 shifts as opposed to the normal one shift, it only took 2 pumps of grease to fill the pins. In conclusion, with AmberTech we saw the ability to run 6 times longer and then use 1/3 to 1/4 as much grease. With the decreased temperatures, we can see the reduction in friction. AmberTech is the real deal.

AmberTech really is a pretty amazing product!   I put a few ounces in the oil of my Chevy Suburban and the gas mileage increased about 10%.  That’s like getting a 35 or 40 cent a gallon discount on gas!  I’m using AmberTech on everything I own that creates friction.  That includes my reels, guns, bows, 4-wheelers, tractors, mowers, boat trailers, garage doors, Mercury outboard motors, gate openers, Minnkota trolling motors, and anything else that needs to operate smoothly!  It seems to me that AmberTech pretty much eliminates friction. Our facility in South Point Ohio has been an undertaking of Engineering seldom accomplished on the Inland Waterways.  Once the designs were laid out on paper, then making them work to spec has been a most extreme accomplishment. The weights we encountered when bringing the barges up the incline on rail tracks, the friction was unimaginable.  Film strengths of the lubricants on the tracks, rail wheels, gearboxes, and hydraulics were being exceeded with disastrous results even peeling up the surfaces of the rails.  Heat, wear, and replacements were constant.  The tracks run directly into the Ohio River and greases were being washed out.  The tracks saw constant corrosion due to the water being carried up the rails.  Sometimes weights would reach 3000 tons.  Our tracks even twisted once on one of the sever pulls and we were in a mess.
